Singer James Morrison has finished recording his lyrics for the popular REM song “Everybody hurts” to raise funds for the relief effort in Haiti.

Morrison who lived in Porth, Newquay for much of his childhood was hand selected by Simon Cowell to add his vocals.

Recording of the song was organised by music millionaire Simon Cowell after British Prime Minister Gordon Brown put him in charge of the project. Cowell has pulled out all the stops to try and make the song the best selling aid song of all time.
