Romney: robust approach to the economy
Presidential hopeful Mitt Romeny has secured a decisive victory in the Republican primary in Illinois.
He won 47 per cent of the votes, beating rival Rick Santorum’s 35 per cent. The overall winner will compete with Barrack Obama for the presidency in November’s elections.
Illinois is a strategic gain in the contest, as it sends 54 delegates to the Republican convention. Romney won support for his robust approach towards the economy and tackling unemployment.

Mitt Romney: needs result in Ohio
Voters in 10 American states are picking a Republican presidential candidate during Suoer Tuesday.
The contests are being held in Ohio, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia, Oklahoma, Idaho, North Dakota and Alaska.
The most closely watched battleground will be Ohio as no Republican nominee has ever become president without winning the state.
