Two people have died in a crash between a fuel tanker, a car and a camper van on the A30 in Hayle.

A third person was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske in Truro after the accident, which happened at around 10.30am at the Loggans roundabout.

A police officer at the scene said: “One car collided with another and unfortunately, the occupants of the car have been pronounced deceased at the scene.”

Fuel has spilled at the scene. The road is expected to be closed for at least six or seven hours.
