Truro City 3-1 Hemel Hempstead Town
Truro City celebrated their first home win since August, after beating Hemel Hempstead Town by two goals.
This well-deserved 3-1 win leaves them with an outside chance of achieving the play-off places in the premier division of the Zamaretto Southern League. They face Helsowen away on Saturday.
The match started well. After 18 minutes a shot at goal by Marvin Brown was blocked by Will Viner, the Tudors' keeper. Brown's strike partner Andy Watkins then scored giving the White Tigers the lead.
Seven minutes later, Steve Adams set up an attack that Brown finished off.
Just before half time, the away team fought back allowing the Tudor's Danny Granville to score a goal.
But in the stoppage time before the whistle blew for half, Andy Taylor took a free kick. Arran Pugh managed to head it, giving Brown a strike into the far post.
At half time it was 3-1 to Truro City.
The second half was frustrating for the Truro fans with no further goals to finish off the struggling Tudors.
However, neither did the White Tigers lose ground and it was celebrations at Treyew Road for the first home win for five months.
